Privacy Policy
Fridge Club helps people who live together plan chores and keep track of shared costs. This policy explains what we store, why, who helps us run the service, and how you can delete your data.
Fridge Club is published by Naz İrem Baz, an individual developer, under the Baz Technologies brand (“we”). If you have a question, write to n.irembaz@gmail.com.
Using Fridge Club without an account
You can make a chore plan without signing up. Your name, avatar, rooms, chores and completions then stay on your iPhone. We don’t receive them.
What we store when you create an account
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we never see them in plain text.
- Profile: the name you choose (optional) and the avatar you pick.
- Your home: home name, currency, time zone, members and pending invitations.
- Chores: rooms, chores, schedules, who is responsible, who completed what and when.
- Shared costs: expenses, who paid, how they were split, and repayments you record. Fridge Club does not move money and does not connect to your bank.
- Change history: a record of who changed what in the home, so mistakes can be corrected.
- Technical records: when a request reaches our server we log a request ID, an error code and how long it took. These logs don’t contain your chores, expenses, email address, password or sign-in tokens.
We use this data only to run Fridge Club: to sign you in, keep your home in sync across devices, and show the right chores and balances to the right people.
What other members of your home can see
People in your home see your name, avatar, shared rooms and chores, and the shared expenses and repayments. Rooms you mark as private, and their chores and history, are visible only to you.
Usage events
To understand whether Fridge Club actually helps, we record a few moments: the first chore you complete, the days you open the app, creating an account, joining a home, and adding a shared cost or a repayment. Each event holds only its type, the date, the app version, a random ID created when you install the app and, if you have an account, your account ID. It never includes chore names, people’s names, amounts or email addresses. We keep these events for up to 400 days. If you delete your account, your account ID is removed from them.
What we don’t do
- We don’t show ads and we don’t sell or rent your data.
- We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising tools, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
- Chore reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. We don’t send push notifications from our servers.
Service providers
- Supabase hosts our database, authentication and server code. Data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Resend delivers sign-up confirmation and password reset emails. It receives your email address and the one-time code.
These providers process data only on our instructions.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Home, tap the account settings row and choose Delete account. When you do:
- Your account, email address and password are deleted, and you are signed out on every device.
- Your private rooms, their chores and their history are deleted.
- If you were the only member of your home, the whole home is deleted.
- If other people share your home, shared chores, expenses and repayments stay so their balances remain correct. Your name and avatar are removed and replaced with “Former member”. If you owned the home, ownership passes to another member.
If you can’t open the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Data stored only on your iPhone is removed when you delete the app.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us at the address above and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
Fridge Club is meant for adults sharing a home. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
